Rylee and I spent several hours in the studio together and she painted this from start to finish. She just turned 5yo this month!!!! She copied a painting from Carol Marine’s book of 100 small paintings (http://carolmarine.blogspot.com)

Start with a smeared charcoal base, then pulled out the lights with a kneaded eraser.

This was a plein air painting done in an hour + at Aldrige Gardens in Hoover, Al. Ran out of light too fast and got creative with it.
