I’ve been creating these things for a while. But someone suggested I make them public. So I’ll be posting them for anyone to download every week. I have some more interesting ones ready for future games this season!

Step-By-Step Painting 1

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Here goes another step by step painting. My first landscape in over a year.

Step#1
Take my toned panel and draw my basic design with Burnt Sienna mixed with turpentine.

NOTES – Step #1
Since this landscape will probably be dominantly Green, I used a panel toned in Red since Red is Greens compliment (opposite on the color wheel). I have the color wheel memorized, but I keep one nailed to my easel to force myself to think about color always.

On a side note, I keep a ton of panels pre-toned so I can start painting just about anything without having to stop and tone a panel first. You can see them in this next shot hanging behind my easel.

Step #2
Start finding the color relationships in the major “blocks” of the painting.

Back to Normal…

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

…. well, as normal as I get. The content for my photo and art galleries are back up as well as the “about me” and “contact” pages. The music page has a link to The Rising Fall’s website and some other media from side and personal music projects.

Look around, and leave a comment to let me know you stopped by..

Domain finally at the new host!

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Well, the domain transfer is complete!

Now I have to rebuild the site from scratch. Not so fun, but at least the part where I have to rely on others is overwith.

See you soon…
